Hi, I am Elizabeth and welcome to Rustic Maple. I'm a wife and a mother of two active teen boys who I affectionately call 'my guys', We live in a builder home in the suburbs of a medium sized town in southern Ontario, Canada, but dream of one day having property in the country. 

I am in love with everything related to home decor, organization, home building and remodeling. My family and friends sometimes laugh with at me because painting and paint colours are my 'thing'. I enjoy decorating, DIY, sign making, furniture painting, needlework, creating….. and trying to do it all on a budget and with not enough hours in the day. 

I can appreciate a variety of design styles and I am working to define my personal design style for our home. I would have to say rustic modern country defines it best, a bit rustic industrial and lakeside farmhouse. Now there's a mix! 

Although I trained as a practical nurse, I have worked in high school special education full-time during the school year for the last 24 years. In my 'down time' I enjoy adding style and value to our home affordably (and sometimes to other's homes as well.)
